What’s an Avatar?
You have probably noticed that some of your fellow challengers use cartoon pictures to represent themselves on their blogs and flickr accounts. These are known as avatars, and while the original meaning of the word “avatar” (according to
wikipedia) refers to the symbolic representation of a divine being, the avatars we’re talking about are a bit more down to earth. Avatars are amusing tools for of self-expression, and there are many websites you can use to create them. Why do you need an avatar? To use on your blogs, websites, social spaces, games, message boards, Instant Message windows, or as wallpaper for your mobile phone of course!
