Conclusion

Congratulations!  You have completed the Montana Library 2.0 Challenge.  Hopefully this has been a valuable experience for you.  Now you can nod your head knowingly when someone talks about RSS feeds, wikis, blogs, and other web 2.0 tools.  Maybe you are already using the tools at your library and in your personal life.

Your final required assignment for the Challenge is to reflect on your learning journey and post a few thoughts on your blog. Here are some questions to prompt you if you're drawing a blank ...

  • What were your favorite discoveries or exercises on this learning journey?
  • How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals?
  • Were there any take-aways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?
  • What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept?

    And last but not least…

  • If we offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you again choose to participate?

Participants who complete all the assignments for the Montana Library 2.0 challenge will receive a certificate for continuing education credits issued by the Montana State Library.  Please contact Sue Jackson sujackson@mt.gov if you haven't received your certificate by the end of the program March 31.

We've allowed several weeks from the end of the lessons until the official program end on March 31 to give participants who started late or fell behind some time to catch up and finish the assignments.  During this time we'll also offer additional optional lessons and activites for fun and learning, so stay tuned.

In closing, We want to thank each and every one of you for joining us on this journey. Hopefully this isn't the end of our learning journey together, but rather it’s just the start of something amazing …

Thanks from Lauren, Maggie, Suzanne, and Tracy
